Terms and Conditions
By paying the 20% non refundable booking fee, you agree to the following terms and conditions:.
Each cake quote is valid for 28 days from date of issue
50% of the total price is to be paid 6 weeks prior to your event.
Full payment is due 14 days prior.
Payment can be made by Cash. Cheque or Bank Transfer, provided sufficient time is allowed for funds to clear by the due date.
Cancellations within 12 weeks of the event date forfeit all previous payments.(20% of total cake price)
Cancellations within 6 weeks of the event ate forfeit all previous payments. (50% of total cake price)
Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event, payment must be made in full. We recommend taking out Wedding Insurance to cover any loses.
Date Changes must be submitted in writing, and the new date is subject to our availability.
For postponement of dates- 50% Payment of cake is due by original booking date.
Any changes to the original order are subject to viability and quote review.
Your initial consultation is free of charge. Additional consultations may incur a fee.
Any errors, corrections or updates to your order must be submitted in writing. Your amended order will then be reissued for your records.
Set Up and Delivery/Collection
Set up and delivery within 5 miles of Halesowen* is offered free of charge when:
Order is £50 or more, not including flowers or embellishments.
Free parking is available whilst delivering the cake, for up to 30 minutes.
Easy access to the venue is provided eg. Close parking, lift access to higher levels.
Cake table is level, stable, clothed and ready for cake placement.
The room is a suitable temperature for your cake. Cake table is not in direct sunlight or close to a heat source.
Cakes are able to be delivered at anytime between 10am and 8pm Monday to Sunday by prior arrangement.
Cakes should be inspected on receipt to ensure that they are not damaged and are to your specification. Where cakes are delivered you or a member of staff from the venue must inspect the cake, as you (or any third party taking delivery, e.g., hotel ) shall be deemed to have accepted sole responsibility for any damage or loss occurring after we have left the venue.
We always photograph each cake once set up at the venue as proof of safe delivery. We do not take responsibility for any issues which results from a failure to follow any instructions/advice we may give in respect of storage, or setting up, or of further transportation of the cakes or sugarcraft items..
Should you wish to collect your cake, please ensure that there is ample space in the boot of your vehicle to safely place the cake. We also advise either some non-slip matting or soft blankets are placed under and around the cake to avoid it moving whilst in transit. We do not take responsibility for any damage occurred once your cake has left the premises, however should such damage occur we would advise you to contact us in the first instance. After inspection of damage, arrangements can be made for repair where possible.
Some cakes will not be suitable for collection, we will make you aware if this is the case and arrange a mutually convenient time for delivery, a small charge may be made if you are outside of our delivery area..
We will not be held responsible for any delay in delivery if circumstances are out of our control. If adverse weather conditions are forecast we reserve the right to deliver the cake earlier than agreed, where weather conditions allow.
Looking After Your Cake
To ensure your cake is eaten at it’s best, please observe the following guidelines-
All cakes should be eaten within 7 days of receipt.
Cakes should be stored in a cool area, off the floor, away from direct sunlight and strong odours, and in the box supplied.
If you have any concerns regarding the quality of your cake, please contact us immediately to arrange an inspection. A refund or replacement will only be offered where a fault is found, and provided these guidelines have been adhered to.
When cutting cakes, all non edible items should be removed. We recommend that cakes are turned over before cutting. Using the attached cutting chart will ensure maximum portions from your cake
Once cake has been cut, cover all cut surfaces with cling film.
Should you wish to keep any decorations i.e. Models, sugar flowers etc. store in a dry area away from direct heat or moisture. Do not store in an airtight container. If storing in a cardboard box, a sachet of silica gel will help prevent moisture damage.
Cake Stand/Separators/Topper Hire
Cake stand hire is offered free of charge for all orders over £100.00. You may hire a stand for all orders under £100.00.
There is a £50 security deposit required for the use of each of our cake stands, separators and toppers. The security deposit is refunded in the method it is received. (Cash Preferred)
The cake stand MUST be returned within 3 days of your event. Please call us to arrange a mutually suitable time for return.
If prior written agreement has been made for US to collect the stand from the venue and it is unable to be located at the agreed time of collection, deposit will be withheld.
Late return of the stand (without consent) will result in deposit being withheld.
A £10 charge per week will be applied until stand is returned.
Failure to return the stand will be regarded as theft and reported to the police.
Any damages to the stand will result in the deposit being withheld.
Any damage must be reported immediately- so that all efforts can be made to have the stand repaired.
The cake stand is only to be used for the cakes supplied. At no time are heavy ornaments, hot lights (including tea lights) or larger cakes to be placed onto the stand.
The stand may be transported to areas outside the West Midlands with prior arrangement.
Any decorations applied to the stand must be removed (including residue) before its return.
The cake stand is to be returned- as is. There is no need to wash the stand before you return it. In the event the stand is exceptionally dirty, it may be wiped with a damp soft cloth. At no time is the stand to be placed into a dishwasher, or have a scourer used on it.
Your cakes design is outlined in your official confirmation of order. Please contact us ASAP with any corrections that may need to be made.
Where possible, a picture of your chosen design will be attached to your order for both of our reference.
If you choose to supply your own ribbons, or decorations, they must be suitable for your cake- e.g. enough ribbon, correct thickness, fabric suitability for the design etc…
Any figurines supplied for your cake, must be able to be easily attached to the top tier of your cake- preferably being able to stand alone, or with the aide of inbuilt supports.
All items supplied for your cake, must be clearly marked with your surnames and wedding date.
Any items which do not meet hygiene and safety requirement will be unable to be used.
